SGC Rules in plainer English
The Council is concerned that the current Rules and By-Laws are not as clear, concise and consistent as they should be and has therefore asked the Honorary Secretary to institute a review, this review is currently underway. The initial objective is to reorganise the existing Rules into a more sensible structure and correct any inconsistencies in wording and terminology but not to change the meaning or intent of the existing Rules.
If this reorganisation is acceptable to the members it is anticipated that it will reveal some weaknesses and inconsistencies which would be addressed in a further review and proposal to the members.
If any members have comments as to the wording, meaning, fairness or legality of any part of the Rules and By-laws please let the Honorary Secretary know, preferably in writing.
