Senior Section – Spring 2008
Eighteen matches have been arranged for the year, commencing in May.
These matches are with other Golf Clubs, on a Home and Away format.
We would welcome any newcomers, especially any recent new members. There is a minimum age limit of 55 and all matches are played in a very friendly spirit, during weekdays, with a morning start, followed by a luncheon, and finishing by mid afternoon.
At a cost of £9.00 per head per match, it is a great day out, in most enjoyable company!
Last year we asked members if they would like to have Club shirts and sweaters. As a result of demand, we ordered a supply to cover those people who put their order on the listing. In addition to the Club logo, we have inserted the legend ‘Seniors’.
It would be nice if all members could wear these when playing their matches.
Our professional Mike Stewart has now received the items into stock, and will arrange for any further orders, from those of you who missed the initial purchase, when he has established a minimum order level.
I would welcome volunteers to act as ‘Captains of the Day’, for individual Home and Away matches.
All that remains is that I wish you all a great golfing year, and matching weather !
